Northwest Region Stop #2 Recap: Big Bags at Possum Kingdom

The Northwest Region returned to competition Saturday, October 24th for Stop #2 of the 2026-2027 Texas B.A.S.S. Nation Youth season at Possum Kingdom.

A field of 127 teams launched from South D&D, BRA #4 for the second qualifier of the season. Anglers started the morning bundled up in chilly temperatures, but Texas did what Texas does, and by mid-day temperatures had climbed into the 80s.

The changing weather did not keep the fish from showing up.

By the end of weigh-in, 273 fish had been caught, plenty of quality bags had crossed the scales, and $12,243 in cash prizes had been awarded to High School and Junior anglers.
